Zed and the Keepers of the Light is a story that's been kicking around in my head for some time. I've considered producing it as a comic book or as an animated short, but due to its length and complexity, I've finally settled on fiction.
In order to amplify the cheesy, campy feel of this story- which contains rayguns, saucers, aliens, zombies, etc- I've decided that serialized fiction would be the best way to go. I'm attempting to keep each episode short and end them with a cliffhanger. This hearkens back to the serial adventure films of the 1950's that inspired Zed in the first place.
When I can, I'll add illustrations here and there to punch up the story. You may also notice the chapter changing slightly over time, as I am posting the raw, rough drafts online as I finish and editing them later. I hope you enjoy reading Zed as much as I do writing it, and I welcome your comments.
